Welcome to the David L. Rice Library Business Research Guide!

In this guide, you will find a collection of tools, texts, and links to library databases and resources useful for finding information relevant to studies in business (including accounting, management, finance, marketing, and economics). We have also provided a collection of links to some basic research and citation aids (see box below). To learn more about business at USI, visit the Romain College of Business.

How to use this guide

Material provided in the Business Research Guide has been broken down into seven different categories:

  • If you want information about specific companies or businesses (earnings reports and other financials, ownership, etc.), you should use the Company Research tab.
  • If you want to learn more about whole industries (NAICS codes, market analysis, etc.), use the Industry Research tab.
  • If you're looking for information about companies or industries operating outside of the United States, use the International Business tab.
  • If you're interested in the various issues relevant to nonprofit organizations and small businesses, we've got a tab for that!
  • If you're looking for employment data, labor issues, occupational outlooks, and similar information, go to the Labor and Employment Research tab.
  • If you need data and statistical and regulatory information (from both government and non-government sources), use the Data and Statistical Information tab.
  • If you'd like to see what's going on in the news and in current markets, use the Stock Tickers and News Feeds tab.

There may be some redundancy in the database link lists for each tab, but don't stop scrolling! While each research area has resources in common, they also have specialized material of their own for you to find.
