Accounting

Welcome to the David L. Rice Library Accounting Research Guide!

In this guide, you will find a collection of tools, texts, and links to library databases and resources useful for finding information relevant to studies in accounting (including entrepreneurship, tax issues, and related matters). We have also provided a collection of links to some basic research and citation aids (see box below). We've also included a small selection of links to CPA exam information and study help. To learn more about USI's AACSB-accredited accounting program, visit the program's page at the Romain College of Business. For additional study resources, check out the library's Business Research Guide.

How to use this guide

Material provided in the Accounting Research Guide has been broken down into three different categories:

  • If you need information about accounting standards and professional associations (the groups largely responsible for writing those standards), use the Standards and Associations tab; students and faculty in USI's accounting program should have academic access to the actual GAAP and IFRS standards documents through their professional association memberships.
  • If you're looking for library databases and external links to government resources and regulatory bodies, use the Databases and Research Resources tab.
  • The CPA Exam Resources tab houses a set of links to help students apply and register for the exam relevant to those practicing in the tri-state area (Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky), along with some free resources for preparation. Please defer to your instructor/advisor's guidance when using these resources.
