HIST 385 (Hoyer): Women in Africa Final Project

Research guidance and collected resources for the HIST 385 final project

This guide offers you a selection of library resources (databases, selected books and book collections, relevant academic journals) and external sites that are likely to have information you can use for your Women in Africa project. The materials brought together here aren't exhaustive -- they're just here to give you a good place to start. We've also included some broad basic research sites, links to citation help, and links to some video tutorials to help you make the most effective use of the resources the library provides. Please reach out to a librarian for help if you'd like additional guidance!

Library Databases and Resources

Because all instruction is currently online for USI and the library building is closed, students do not have access to books in our print collections. Never fear! We've still got a lot of material available for student use online!

Use the links below to explore a set of journals likely to have content relevant to your project. Note that the links go to a screen that will allow you to select the database in which the journal appears, where you will have the option to browse by issue or to run a search on the journal's contents.
