LIBRARY COMPUTERS

Library workstations and Internet connections are provided to support the curriculum and research activities of USI students, staff, and faculty. All of the computers in Rice Library are for research and coursework. When Library Computer Lab A is not reserved for instruction or training, the workspace in this room is available for student collaboration use. 

The Rice Library is a wireless accessible building. Anyone who has a personal device may access the university's wireless network by opening a web browser and following the instructions for the appropriate device. For more detailed information go to www.usi.edu/it/internetwifi

A variety of devices are available for use by faculty and staff. Devices are generally loaned for a period of 2-week period. A valid Eagle Access ID card must be presented at checkout. An Employee Equipment Request Form is required for borrowing equipment.

PRINTING

• There are networked printers on all 4 floors of Rice Library, and one in each Lab.
• A color printer is located on the 1st floor of Rice Library.
• When trying to print color, you must specify the color printer when submitting the print job on your computer.
• B&W printing costs $.10 per page while color printing costs $.25 page.
• You must have money on the FLEX account of your Eagle Access card to print.
