Police Discretion

This research guide was developed and maintained to support the university's CRIM 412 Police Discretion course.

2. How Do I Find Sources?

As you prepare to look for sources related to your selected research topic, consider the Journal Databases listed on the Databases/Journals tab of the Police Discretion Research Guide.  Any of these databases (and even others) may provide you with good quality peer-reviewed sources, but start by searching Criminal Justice Abstracts with Full TextProQuest Central, and JSTOR.  To improve your searching skills and enhance the quality of your search results, be sure to listen to the tutorial below which was originally developed for the CRIM 244 course.  Additional database tutorials are available on the Database Tutorials Research Guide.
