Evansville & USI Research

If you need to do research on a local topic concerning Evansville or USI, it could be a bit tricky. This LibGuide provides some resources and tips on how to research local topics.

Search for books, ebooks, images, and articles from scholarly, trade, or news periodicals with the Rice Library's fUSIon tool.

Library Collection

There are resources concerning USI in the Library's collection.  Most of these sources will be found in the University Archives & Special Collections located on the 3rd floor of Rice Library.  This collection is accessible to all USI faculty, students, and staff.  Please consult their website for opening hours.

It is best to contact the Archives to see if they have information on your specific topic.

Search Tip

When doing research on USI topics, it may be difficult to find very specific resources in many of our databases.

Instead, use the sources in the databases to provide the background information on the general subject.  Then, use local resources (Interviews, newspaper articles, press releases, government information, university facts and statistics, etc.) to connect the subject to USI.
