Communal and Utopian Studies

Special Collections/Archive Info

This department of the library will be very important to you in your research, as it houses several collections of interest.  Items from this department may not be checked out.  In addition, this department has shorter hours than the overall library (M-F 8-12, 1-4:30), so plan your research accordingly.

The Communal Studies Collection is a clearinghouse for information on historic and contemporary intentional communities.  The collection includes primary and secondary materials on many historic and contemporary communities.
