When searching for older articles, it is very important to go into the search with specific dates and facts such as personal names, names of events, and places! 
 
Remember to use words and terms that would have been used during that time period not the names or phrases given to events later in history.

Census Records Available on Microfilm

Rice Library holds census of population records from the United States Bureau of the Census for counties in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky for years spanning 1820-1930. These records are available in microfilm on the first floor of Rice Library under the following call numbers: MB71-MB76; MB83-MB96; MB101-MB124; MB180-MB185; MB235-MB245; MB255-MB332.
